A Daily Dose of Dependency
Every time I try to handle something solely on my own, I am reminded, without fail, that it never works. Instead of valuing independence, I need to value dependency on my Father. When I am dependent upon His strength, that is when things fall into place.
I am in need of my daily dose of His mercy and His peace. I vow to become more dependent today, starting now.

On to Completion
Paul was confident that when God began a good work in the Philippians He would carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:6)
Reflecting upon this season of Lent that has just passed, I am feeling a piece of this completion. But I also feel the anticipation of what is to come. God is not finished purging me of my sin, but he has begun a good work in me.
I am thankful for how He worked in me during Lent. I am looking forward to seeing what He does with this next season of Easter, of resurrection. Most of all, I am confident that He is faithful; what He begins He will carry on to completion.

For the Mouth of the Lord has Spoken.
When the Lord speaks, you listen. He did speak, He does speak, and He will speak. All we have to do is listen. It's easier than we think.
When He spoke to Isaiah on behalf of the Israelites, this is what He said:
"Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the chords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter-
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you,
and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
Then you will call and the Lord will answer;
You will cry for help, and He will say:
Here am I."

Who Woulda Thought...
You only live once, so why not document it? I'm still afraid of haters, but I'm pretty sure the haters won't care. And I figure if they don't care then they won't read, and if they don't read then they can't hate.
I never thought I would expose my thoughts via blogging, but here goes nothing...
